The colours
Prides of our land. Fruit and flowers of the Dominican Republic, drawn the way botanists once drew them for plate engravings, each carrying the house diamond like a crest. Every piece names a thing that grows here. The colour of each garment was chosen for its illustration and exists in no other colourway.The fruit is not decoration. It is the coat of arms.

The national flower
Rosa de Bayahíbe
A leafy cactus that flowers. It grows wild on one stretch of dry coast and nowhere else on earth, and it is critically endangered.
In 2011 a law took the title of national flower from the caoba blossom and gave it to her. The colourway is named Negro Caoba for the blossom it displaced.
